Common Questions
What is a Waste Transfer Note and why does it matter?
A Waste Transfer Note (WTN) is a legal document that records the transfer of waste from one party to another. When you hand over your solar panels to us, we issue a WTN which proves that you have legally transferred the waste to a licensed carrier. This document protects your business from any future liability regarding those panels.
What are WEEE regulations?
WEEE stands for Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment. These regulations govern how electrical waste, including solar panels, must be collected, treated, and disposed of. Being WEEE compliant means we follow all legal requirements for handling end-of-life solar equipment.
Why should I use a registered waste carrier?
Using an unregistered carrier is illegal and exposes your business to significant fines. More importantly, you remain legally responsible for what happens to your waste until it's properly disposed of. Using a registered carrier like us, with proper documentation, transfers that liability.
Where do the panels go after collection?
All functional panels we collect are exported to developing markets in Asia, the Middle East, and Africa where they continue to generate clean energy. We have a strict zero-landfill policy — no reusable panels are sent to waste facilities.
